MEDELA recognizes the importance of screening and early detection of breast cancer. As a socially responsible company, it has decided to support a humanitarian initiative in the fight against breast cancer. Medela will provide the financial resources necessary to ensure medical examinations for as many women in Belgrade as possible.
Funds are collected by allocating 5 dinars from each sold product of Strawberry & Vanilla Strudel 240 g in limited-edition packaging as a donation.
In cooperation with the B92 Fund and the Institute of Public Health “Dr Milan Jovanović Batut,” Medela’s donation will be used to cover the operating costs of a mobile mammography unit, with the aim of providing free screenings for women and encouraging early diagnosis. The mobile mammography unit will be available in the territory of the city of Belgrade from October 17 to October 23, 2022.
Our goal is to raise awareness among women about the importance of self-examinations and regular check-ups, as breast cancer is curable in 90% of cases if detected early.
